RAUKANTEX Laser Edge

Seamless Edging

With the specially developed RAUKANTEX Laser Edge, which is applied to the board via laser bonding, REHAU offers a real alternative to the classic method of applying edgeband to narrow surfaces, being the only supplier offering a durable adhesive free bond between edge and board without any visable joint.

With the laser edging process, the standard glue station is the production line is replaced by a highly efficient laser. This melts the rear layer of the edgeband which is made from a special polymer - the front layer is made from the polypropylene to create a seamless edging of the board.

The advantages of laser joining compared to traditional methods:
