Ground-air Heat Exchanger
Renewable source of Controlled Ventilation - CPDR1
Ground-air Heat Exchanger
The CPD course provides an introduction to ground-air heat exchanger technology (a.k.a earth tubes) and how the system can be used to reduce cooling costs. Ventilation air is simply drawn through an underground of pipes which pre-heat the air in the winter and pre-cool the air in the summer. With ever-improving building regulations, cooling is becoming increasingly difficult in high-occupancy buildings such as schools and alternative renewable sources should be considered. Ground-air heat exchangers offer a simple and efficient method to reducing heating and cooling loads in both domestic and commercial applications.
