REHAU Intelligent Controls - Hard Wired Sensors
REHAU CT2 Progammable Room Sensor 
REHAU ‘s Intelligent Controls systems utilises Room Temperature Sensors instead of traditional Room Thermostats. The main benefit of this is that the Master Controller can establish the set point by utilising its internal processor to modulate the final output more accurately. Hence there is better control as temperature fluctuations are reduced which results in no discernible temperature fluctuations by the end user.
Many traditional systems use standard thermostats resulting in their action being either 100% on or 100% off, hence the control differential can be large i.e. in the region of (2 - 3 C) this leads to the user feeling these temperature fluctuations which could make it uncomfortable for them.
The REHAU Electronic Intelligent Controls Sensor Thermostats are suitable for underfloor heating/cooling in residential and commercial applications. The Sensors are designed to control the indoor comfort temperature. The wide product program covers all typical applications, with choices of tamperproof, or partial or full adjustability, all working on a low voltage safe electrical system.
The Sensors are suitable for surface mounting and are easy to install.
The Sensors are wired with a standard installation cable in any combination, in the conventional star format, or in series (as a daisy chain), using 2-core cable, from 0.25m up to 1mm size to the Master Controller.
Up to 14 Sensors can be connected on the same system, each being able to control one or more thermal actuators.
The length of the cables can be up to 300m in total, with max. 100m between 2 points.
The 2-wire system is a low voltage system and ensures communication between the Sensor and the Master.
An additional Sensor can be added to the Intelligent Controls installation and connected to the nearest or any convenient Sensor.
