Rehau announces the launch of our new FC-BMS Intelligent Controls
For the first time an Underfloor Heating / Cooling controls system can communicate directly with Building Management Systems.
REHAU Intelligent Controls now feature a built in MODBus® communication network. This enables easy connection into most major Building Management System (BMS)s
Remotely monitor and control UFH/C systems
Now Building Management Systems can monitor and control the UFH/C system through our network of controllers and sensors.
System parameters such as room temperature, outside air temperature, flow temperatures and even humidity values can be read remotely from all sensors connected to the system. A FC-BMS administrator can now adjust setpoints to increase or decrease temperatures and have full control of actuators and valves throughout the UFH/C system.
Reduce energy consumption
As remote monitoring and control is now possible the UFH/C systems can further be optimised to ensure optimal performance. Critical control references such as load demand, flow temperatures etc. ensure wasted energy is reduced and energy performance is maximised.
All of this reduces the running costs of the system and reduces the CO2 footprint of the building
Quick and simple fault finding
We have made it possible for FC-BMS operators to adjust the control parameters of our UFH/C system should that be necessary. They are able to override settings during normal operation for remote fault finding. For example if it is not clear why a room is not achieving temperature, actuators and valves can be manually controlled to establish where the root of the problem lies.
Reduce installation costs
As the UFH/C system can be fully read and controlled via the FC-BMS, individual BMS sensors are no longer required for temperature monitoring/control throughout the building,
bringing a reduction in the total number of sensors that need to be installed and maintained. This means that other HVAC systems can be operated by the BMS utilising REHAU Intelligent Control sensors, without the need for BMS or HVAC specific sensors.

REHAU Intelligent controls come with tested and proven software preinstalled in the controllers saving programming time and reducing risk.
