Development Expertise in Water Management

REHAU develops and produces complete windshield and headlamp washer systems, including the option of heating all the components (washer reservoir, hose assemblies, and nozzles) where required. The following sections feature selected development highlights from the arena of Water Management.

REHAU's newly developed PE940 hoses provide a material for single-layer hoses without reinforcement, which are suitable for both windshield and headlamp washer systems.

Modern production technologies such as co-extrusion and the very latest injection moulding technologies enable us to integrate new functionality in our components.

Time on the assembly line is both limited and expensive. REHAU's experts tackle this issue by integrating multiple components into modules, which are supplied to the assembly line in a fully preassembled state, where they can be installed quickly and easily.

With its many years of experience in injection moulding, extrusion, and extrusion blow moulding, REHAU is the preferred partner for the manufacture and pre-assembly of washer reservoirs.

If data changes over the course of development to such an extent that the efficiency of the production technology that was originally planned can no longer be ensured, REHAU can change the in-house production process, while still applying all the preliminary work and sticking to the OEM schedule.

REHAU is able to provide the automotive industry with windshield washer systems, in which the entire volume of washer fluid can be heated as required. Comparative tests have demonstrated that heating reduces cleaning time.
