RAUPIANO PLUS PROMISES SOUND INSULATED WASTE WATER SYSTEMS

Polymer specialist REHAU is launching its sound insulated domestic waste water system in the UK branded RAUPIANO PLUS.
It is an ideal solution for use in apartments, hotels, schools, hospitals, offices or commercial kitchens where there is a requirement for the domestic waste water system to be quiet and unobtrusive.
With many millions of metres of the pipework already successfully installed across the world from Germany to Moscow, India and Dubai, RAUPIANO PLUS is a proven product which has found a new market in the UK.
The key to the sound absorbing characteristics of the pipe is a highly rigid middle layer of mineral-reinforced polypropylene which is sandwiched between an impact resistant shock proof outer layer and an abrasion resistant smooth inner layer. As well as increasing the mass of the pipe, the mineral fillers absorb sound and reduce any noise emanating from the pipe system.
In turn, the UV resistant outer layer gives RAUPIANO exceptional rigidity for transport, storage and handling. The system is capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -10ºC when stored outside, while the smooth inner surface improves flow conditions and means the pipe remains free of deposits and scaling.
RAUPIANO PLUS fulfils all the latest Building Regulations requirements and is available in diameters from 32mm to 160mm. The sound insulated waste water system allows for direct connection to conventional drainage pipes and has a comprehensive range of bends, sockets, branches and fire proofing collars.
It uses a push-fit fixing mechanism with integrated sockets and sealing rings. This reduces installation time and costs and means it can be installed with only minimal training required. It also uses patented, highly insulating fastening clips for fixing to the mounting wall which minimise any sound being transmitted to the wall.
