REHAU FLEXIBLE PIPEWORK WINS PRESTIGIOUS SPECIFICATION

REHAU FLEXIBLE PIPEWORK WINS PRESTIGIOUS SPECIFICATION REHAU Plumbing, Blackburn, Lancs
REHAU’s flexible heating and plumbing system has been chosen for a prestigious refurbishment project in Lancashire where leak free pipework was the developer’s key priority.

The large Victorian property in Blackburn was being redeveloped into a highly specified, luxurious home and the developer London Contracts Ltd was determined to use the very best contemporary materials throughout.

London Contracts’ consulting team chose REHAU’s PE-Xa flexible heating and plumbing pipework in diameters from 16mm to 40mm for all the hot and cold water services in the house, alongside REHAU’s underfloor heating system on the ground floor and distribution manifolds for the radiator system on the first floor.

The flexible pipework was fast and easy to install in the property where there were lots of long pipe runs in awkward locations and, because many of these locations were concealed, REHAU could guarantee that there would be no risk of leaks

The developer had used REHAU products on previous smaller projects and had been impressed by the quality of the pipework and the jointing system in particular.

Leak free joints are produced using REHAU’s patented Everloc non-detachable DZR brass joint.
Everloc uses either a manual or automated tool to fix a compression sleeve joint onto the pipe. A joint is quick and simple to make.

First, the pipe is cut to the required length and a compression sleeve slid onto it. The pipe end is then expanded using the REHAU expansion tool and the fitting is placed into the pipe end. The joint is completed by bringing the compression sleeve into place with the REHAU clamping tool to create a permanent and watertight joint.
