ASTRASEAL MANUFACTURES RECORD BREAKINGREHAU VERTICAL SLIDERS REHAU Heritage PVC-U System
Astraseal has fabricated what are believed to be the largest vertically sliding windows ever produced in the REHAU Heritage PVC-U system.

The windows – measuring up to 2530mm high x 1640mm wide – have been installed at the Wiltshire Constabulary HQ in Devizes, Wiltshire to replace timber windows which had started to fail.

Astraseal is a leading trade and commercial fabricator with extensive experience of manufacturing REHAU Heritage vertical sliders, but this was one of the most challenging specifications it had ever faced. The company worked closely with REHAU to design the immense windows and to satisfy the technical requirements of the project.

Andrew McKeown, Managing Director of Astraseal, said of the contract: “Everything has been on a vast scale and has pushed the boundaries using PVC-U sash window profiles.

“We are delighted with the finished installation which showcases our expertise and our willingness to go the extra mile for customers.”

In total, 85 vertical sliding windows have been installed by Steele Davis who are the appointed Measured Term Contractors for Wiltshire Police.

They replicate the original timber windows as closely as possible with details such as sash horns, a deep bottom rail, slim interlock and chamfered exterior and sculptured interior with matching Astragal bars to mirror traditional sash detailing.

The top sash of each window is fixed to maintain the structural integrity, with the bottom sash opening as required.
