REHAU IN WORLD CUP HOTELS
As South Africa gears up for a surge in visitors to coincide with the World Cup in June, new hotels have been constructed to meet the demand.
These include the new Radisson Blu Hotels in Port Elizabeth and Sandton where REHAU has supplied both 16mm and 20mm PE-Xa flexible pipework for the hot and cold water bathroom supply.
At the Port Elizabeth hotel, 158 bathroom pods were constructed off site complete with pipework in the Johannesburg factory of Exquisite Pods and then transported to site and craned into place.
REHAU supplied the pipework and its renowned DZR Everloc fittings for all the connections within the pods, and a single fitting for each pod was all that was required for connection to the hotel’s main water supply.
With more than a million Everloc fittings in use worldwide, REHAU says that they are guaranteed leak free and maintenance free and, along with the pipework, have a lifespan of 50 years.
