REHAU UNDERFLOOR HEATING CHOSEN AT G1 GLASGOW

REHAU underfloor heating features throughout the impressive reception hall and in the toilets on all nine floors at G1 Glasgow – the city’s most prestigious office building developed by HF Developments, one of Scotland’s leading property investment, development and management companies.
The RAUFIX solid floor system was installed as the £70m, two year redevelopment project nears completion by REHAU Authorised Partner Express Heating working on behalf of M&E contractors NG Bailey.
Underfloor heating was chosen for the reception hall because it eliminated the need for visible heat emitters and also efficiently delivered the necessary comfort levels for the building’s workforce and visitors.
REHAU has supplied its underfloor heating system for several previous HF Developments projects and had successfully demonstrated the quality, performance and durability of its pipework and fittings.
G1 Glasgow is the former General Post Office building in George Square which has been the subject of a complete reconstruction behind its Grade A listed façade with the addition of a four storey glass roof extension.
It is being promoted as the city’s premier business location so the specification throughout is of the highest quality. Main contractors are McLaughlin and Harvey and services consultants are Ramboll.
