CEO Wolfgang Faber hands over to Rainer Schulz and transfers to the Supervisory Board of the REHAU Group
After almost forty years with the company, CEO Wolfgang Faber is being appointed to the Supervisory Board of the REHAU Group. Mr Faber, who joined the international polymer specialist as Assistant to the Personnel Division Manager in 1971, was appointed Authorized Representative as long ago as 1973. He headed the Automotive Division from 1977 for many years. He became an Authorized Signatory and Director as well as a member of Marketing Management and the Board of Directors, of which he became Chairman in March 2000. He became CEO of the Group Executive Board at the beginning of 2007.
Wolfgang Faber has done a great deal in shaping the progress of REHAU, a family business with headquarters in Rehau/Bavaria. In key positions, he fostered the company’s continuous growth at international level. In difficult economic periods, in particular, he always proved himself a man of vision, assertive and never afraid to take decisions. REHAU wishes to go on benefitting from his decades of experience and expertise. With effect from the 1st of April 2010, Wolfgang Faber will hand over his job to his successor, Rainer Schulz, and take up his post on the Supervisory Board of the REHAU Group. This is the body that sets the strategic course for the international development of the REHAU Group.
With the departure of the 65 year old Mr Faber, the Group Executive Board is reorganizing itself. In future it will be made up of its Chairman, Rainer Schulz, Deputy Chairman Jörg Neukirchner, Dr. Stefan Girschik, Thomas Krausch and Jürgen Werner.
The new CEO and former Deputy CEO Rainer Schulz has been with the company since 2001, holding the position of a COO with responsibility for the Group’s operative business. Furthermore, he represented a business division in dual role within the Board of Directors.
At 45 years old, he intends continuing along the challenging path he has set himself. One of his aims is to maintain and further develop the extraordinary innovative ability of the company that is the crucial element of corporate culture and company success.
